Once you know what kills your attention towards your studies, only then you can work towards avoiding it. This is because concentration does not have to mean that you put all your devices away. You only need to deal with what is distracting you and you will be able to focus.

Do you that you are more concerned with staying up-to-date on social media or getting good grades? While you may set goals for yourself as a student, they can change at the moment. For example, you may think that you will study for 2 hours daily but you don’t seem to do it. This could be because, in those 2 hours, you feel too exhausted or bored doing the same thing on repeat.

For example, let’s say you need to use Google for researching and MS Teams for class updates and take my class for me. Download all the important teams in your tab if you have one and keep it with you while studying. Make sure that you don’t have any other devices in your room, except for this tab. Moreover, if you don’t have a tab, you can always borrow someone else’s or simply get use your parent’s phone.

  1. Declutter and Mute

When we talk about staying organized, it applies to your devices as well. Is your device so full of applications that it keeps buzzing all the time? Do you have too many games or social media apps on your phone and tab? It’s time for a sweep – yes, you need to get rid of them. It never hurts to take a break from applications and minimize your usage.

Moreover, some applications such as YouTube may be sending you too many notifications which can distract you. This could be because you have subscribed and turned on notifications for their updates – turn them off. Moreover, you simply can’t forget to put your devices on silent while studying. Even if there is something important, you can always check on those people after you are done with your work. Finally, let your circle know that you keep your cell on mute so they contact your family if it’s an emergency.
