5 Easy Steps to Make Your Nails Stronger

Manicure has become an indispensable part of the image of a modern woman, because hands are a woman’s calling card. True, free time is becoming less and less, and with it there are fewer opportunities to visit a proven manicure master, who for sure will give perfect nail’s care especially after nail extensions, because it is one of the most popular nail services. In the hustle and bustle of the day, it’s hard to take an hour to tidy up your pens. But every girl can learn to carry out simple procedures on her own.

And generally, our nails can send lots of messages to others, and weak or brittle nails may make you self-conscious. Thankfully, there are lots of things you can do to help strengthen your nails and improve them.

Strong, healthy nails can be an indicator of good health, but sometimes our nails aren’t as strong as we’d like them to be.

How to strengthen your nails on the outside?

The plates can also become brittle due to lack of moisture. Low air humidity, contact with strong chemicals, for example, the practice of washing dishes with detergent without gloves are all causes of dryness.

As a result, you must take care of the nails’ moisture in order to restore their strength. There are many ways to do this, we will list the most common ones.

And, after a while, home manicures will not be inferior in quality to a professional one. Here’s how you can do it.

Required tools:

  • Hand lotion or coconut oil
  • Orange cuticle stick or simple wooden wrapped in cloth
  • Nail file
  • Nail scissors
  • File for polishing
  • Cuticle oil

Instructions:

All these procedures can be done while watching your favorite movie or TV series.

  1. Soften your skin with lotion

Use plenty of hand lotion. Bigger is better. Leave it on for a few minutes to soften everything. If you don’t have any coconut oil on hand, you can substitute olive oil for it in your regular lotion. Believe it or not, moisturizing your nails and surrounding skin frequently will help strengthen your nails.

  1. Pull back the cuticle

Use a cuticle stick to gently push the cuticle away from the nail plate. Do this carefully and gently so as not to damage anything!

  1. Shape your nails

Shape your nails with a file. The round shape looks good on short nails. Remember to file your nails in a single direction as well. This aids in the prevention of brittle nails.

4.Polish your nails

Take a nail file and polish your nails well. Your smooth and shiny nails will delight you for days.

Massaging the area at the bottom of the nails, where the nail matrix is located, improves its blood supply. This means that the possibilities of the future nail growing strong and healthy are increased.Massage can be used in conjunction with oil baths (rub your nails after wiping them with a napkin) or as a stand-alone treatment (drop a little of your favorite base oil on the cuticle and rub it in until it is absorbed).

Repeat the massage for 1-2 minutes on each nail. For the effect, it is enough to perform it once a day or two.

  1. Apply oil to cuticles

Finish off with cuticle oil and massage gently. Carry special cuticle oil pencils with you and moisturize your cuticles throughout the day. This will keep your hands looking well-groomed and hydrated.

6. Be careful about the products you use

Many nail polishes or treatments contain harsh chemicals that can actually weaken nails. Nail polish remover that contains acetone should be avoided since it can damage nails. Look for nontoxic nail polishes and soaks as well as acetone-free polish remover.

What to do to keep your nails strong?

Experts from the American research clinic Mayo Clinic give some tips on how to keep your nails tight and healthy.

  • Fiddle around in the water less. An excess of moisture is just as dangerous as a lack of it: prolonged contact with water can lead to splitting and brittle nails.
  • Wear gloves when doing household chores. This is to protect your nails from the harmful effects of detergents.
  • Get rid of the habit of biting your nails or pulling off hangnails. Thus, you can introduce infection, including into the nail matrix. The nails will get thinner and weaker as a result of this.
  • Use a hand moisturizer on a regular basis. It’s also a good idea to rub it on your cuticles and nails.
  • Even a professional manicure should not be overused. One study found that those who are addicted to color change are more likely to suffer from dry and brittle nails.
  • Avoid acetone-based nail polish removers.

And remember. You should consult a dermatologist if your nails remain weak despite your best efforts, or if their color, shape, or texture changes. Perhaps we’re discussing a deficiency in vital nutrients in your body or another major issue.
